   To qualify for the domestic Matching Gifts Program, the organization must be an educational, arts, cultural, hospital, health or environmental institution recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as tax-exempt, and designated a public charity under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Service Code. An organization with 501(c)(3) tax status established by an institution located outside the United States qualifies for matching gifts. The international Matching Gifts Program permits employees outside of the United States to give to human service organizations. Charities Aid Foundation America verifies the nonprofit public charity status of organizations outside of the United States.
